Knowledge about he existing legal mechanisms protecting women’s rights is important for empowering women’s participation in politics and decision-making. Therefore, KWN carried out a campaign to raise awareness about gender equality mechanisms in Kosova, supported by UNIFEM (KWN planned activity). This involved meetings with approximately 350 women in 12 municipalities and pamphlets with information about United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325) on Women, Peace and Security.
